Blyth beach 8/1/2012

Hi lads had some bait left from fri so headed to maggies burn at blyth got there at high water with me two sons not ideal time of tide but thought we would give it a go got there for bout 3pm
first chuck eldest son got a small flounder second cast resulted in small coalie for myself then it wnt very quiet so we moved to the right of the burn then bout 2hrs b4 low water me son pulled in a nice 3.6lb coddie on lugworm nice fish and that was it packed up bout hour b4 low water as we all have work tomorrow
bait used lug razor squid mussell
sea was quite flat once tide turned so getting cod was a bonus and new pb for him as well

yes well done 2 ya son m8, i got one at 3lb+ just as u's were walking off the beach & then the big whitties came on, a canny night it turned out.

nice one mate we thought there was still a chance of fish but we ran out of lug it was just what we had off fri but i enjoyed fishing maggies burn as first time there and good learning experiance next time will fish it 2hrs down and up
 
Well done mate, always nice to get a codling on your first visit anywhere; there were a few fish on the beach last night if you could hit the right spot, but a lot of lads came off the beach having really struggled.

yeh ive just checked south beach club results am i right in thinking g wilson is yourself mate if so well done on your catch last night
