blyth beach 2-12-11

Fished blyth beach from 6 till 10ish last night. Started at the middle toilets but not much happening the so moved to the groynes behind the old ww2 battery. Pleased I did as I had a fish nearly every cast for an hr an a half. 9 whitys and 4 coalies. Some of the whites where a canny size aswell biggest being just under 2 lb. Top bait was macky strip by far everything else was untouched including razor mussle rag an yellows. Alas no coddies but was pleased to get something after my last two outings had resulted in blanks. Did hear news of a lad getting a 5lber further down tho. All in all a canny sesh. All fish returned to fight another day cheers .
 
i think we passed you if you were the lad talking to us 3 , we were the three lads that set up near the battery later on , the cod that was caught was a nice fish around 4/5 pound mark , the lad caught it on his first cast on maccy n lug i think about 10 yards from us , we had 4 coalies and a ting and a rockling .bloody cowld out there last night :)

Yeah charly that was me as soon as I told ya I was gettin a fish near every cast it went quiet. Jinxed meself I think lol. Once that rain came with the wind it was time for me to go home ta some tinnies :)

we waited for an hour or so after we set up before we caught then i had 3 in 3 casts then my m8 Bill got 1 as he reeled in to pack up to save the blank .

we stayed till 1 ish hoping for a coddy but no joy.
 
Busy session there Alan well done mate, i like that beach i fished it the following morning after i saw you on blyth pier we had plenty a flounders during the day. lets hope for some north easterlys soon so it wont be long before were standing shoulder to shoulder on pier again.
 
Me and me pal were down from 4-9pm yesterday.Plenty of small stuff and a couple of size whiteys.
Sea looked good for a few cod but we only managed tommys.
Me lugs are still red from that bliddy wind!:eek::D

When the guy came dragging that cod up the beach I thought here we go!!
Wasnt to be, but at least some sport and no one blanked .

Good night out, but got fekkn square feet after accidentally wearing Bill's size 8 wellies all bloody night!!! Thought they were just numb off the cold hehe, still knacking now hehehee.

I wore the aldi boots I got yesterday they kept me feet nice and warm ;)
 
Only go up to size 10 and not the best waterproof wise but warm as owt cant grumble for 16 notes like. Warm even with a bit of a splash in em
