3hrs ebb on a 1.4m tide??
Surely 10am-2pm was the common sense times to fish.i know of 5 lads who are not fishing because the first hour is a waste of time on 90% of marks

last year i had people saying that they were not fishing our open because fishing up north they had to much flood so this year low tide up craster is 11.57 am that is 2 1/2 down stand 20 mins so thats 1hr 10 of the flood so i can not win is it really worth the bother

Hi codman i know how you feel pal i get the same sh:t every year with the seaham open times defo a bummer mate:mad:

Too much ebb....too much flood...boundaries are too big or too small...not enough time to weigh-in....weigh-in goes on too long....it's a pretty thankless task organising opens!

This year's been bad enough for finding tides - the lows are all early morning or evening (apart from a brief few weeks) and the more desirable tides are all midweek....not sure whether it'll be worse again next year but at some point they'll come round good again!

Good luck to all for tomorrow, I'm sure there'll be quite a few fish about :)

Gary :)

Keep up the good work Steve...people whinging on about tides and fishing times and dates of comps...you will never please them all...times and tides are all the same for us all just get on with it!!!

As others have said you cant please everyone, rules the same for all and its always a well attended, well organised comp. Keep up the good work whatever the tides.
