Beadnell area advice

I have secured a pass out for tomorrow, and am thinking of making a day of it.f
Looking for marks around Beadnell area.
Is the beach worth a chuck ?
I have never fished up there before, so any advice will be very welcome !

Just seen ya post mate, I personally like to fish either knacker hole or football hole but I've only fished them probably 5/6 times each so I can't really give enough advice about the area.

none of the regulars have offered any advice, shame on you. Av never fished there so cant help, but can't believe no response. maybe people are right when they say nesa is dying on it's feet. crying shame.

no I didn't...I never picked up your PM's until after the fact...but thanks again !

I went down to Whitby fished on the beach, half way between Outgang and Sandsend, left about 4.00am, not a touch ?
Bait coming back in, same as it went out, just wetter ?
There were a few fishing, never saw anyone land anything ?
Went back on Saturday, with the NEasters thought it might be worth ago.
Beach was unfishable, so tried carpark for a couple of chucks, but could not hold bottom.
So, having driven 80 mile, I wasn't going to give up and went onto the west just for top of tide. Ended up with x2 2lb ers, and dropped a slightly bigger on off as i dragged it in, had it on top of water, maybe gone 3 & a bit, not massive ?
Most had a couple of fish, with one of the guys right on the end having a good half dozen +, don't know if they were any better size tho ?
Bait: wouldn't touch cart, or mussel, or bluey, & black, had all on Squid flapper & black, on a pennel rig. 1st on top hook, 2nd lip hooked on bottom hook. Went off as we lost the water.
One had small shrimp and a small fish in gut, other full of small shrimp, suggests they were running the open beach ?

Always nice to get something.

The fact the fish were only coming to squid and black lug, makes me feel better when I spend a fortune on 8 different baits for a few hours fishing

She decided to do them with Ginger & Lemon in foil.....bl**dy awful !

I just can't get past Batter....it's what Cod were designed for!

Only fish I like apart from Kippers !
