After such a good session here on tuesday decided to give it another go.
Weather very windy with the odd squally shower, fishing was very slow today packed in around an hour before top water, only managed 6 flounders today nothing over 1lb, baits used frozen runnydown and macky. A couple of other lads i know were down too with similar results as myself.
Had a bit trouble getting the car off, very muddy (automatic cars are not made for driving on mud) made it off at 4th attempt. (first stop the car wash tomorrow)
I'll give it a go over the holidays again, hoping to have a trip away somewhere but depends on the weather, if i cant get away i'll just fish local.

My mate had problems getting off in his Bmw estate. We ended up pushing him off-mind he has low profile tyres.
No such problem for me in my Freelander 2.
Mick.

id think there would be a lot of fresh water coming down there now coupled with smaller tides. might have put them down a bit.

There was a little more fresh in but it wasn't too bad, tide was a 4.9 so ideal size. Had good bags there in similar water and tide size, think perhaps the wind had an effect too, don't quite know why the wind puts the flats off but from experience it definately has an adverse effect.

claxy is also a good mark at low. as soon as the tide starts to flood the fish can come on.

you might not get a bite on the last few hours on the ebb or over low but as soon as the tide turns they will bite.
