Angler washed up on seaburn beach

We take too many risks, we fish closed piers, fish cliffs, rock crops, outlet pipes and such when a nice bg sea on..sad to see but sader to say i cant see it being the last this year.

I am sure we can all look back at a close shave...for me i was washed 30ft and taken clean off my feet on Hendon wall at night, grabbed onto a pot hole to stop me being washed over the side to a death.

just started work and spoke to the lads who were lateshift yesterday and they know nothing about this,so fingers crossed somebody is mistaken .

very sad to hear thoughts go out to the family.....just read the gazette and the lad that jumped off saltburn did not jump alone he was with another lad both intoxicated

More sad news :(. Wonder if the lad was fishing alone, like the lad who lost his life last year at Blackhall. If we are going to fish rock edges etc,we should always fish with a mate, then if anything happens the alarm can be raised quickly.
CONDOLENCES TO THE FAMILY :(

I havent heard anything since yesterday, nothing in the gazette or local news. Lets not confuse this incident with the brainless fools who decide to deliberatly jump into the sea for a laugh.

Stay safe lads.

Stay safe lads.

Hi lads. New member so first time i have posted anything on the site. Cant believe its about another angler losing his life. Very sad. Love the sport but people need to keep safe. Its only a fish. Condolences to the family.

Been nothing on the ITVnews about it lets hope it is a mistake, and its been mixed messages about that Tombstoning thing.
