This outboard came with the Explorer Elite i bought. I ran it before Xmas and it ran ok, but i tried to rev it from the carb and snapped the cam follower linkage. I have a new one ready to fit which i had sent from the USA, but on looking at it i cant be bothered to strip the fly wheel off to fit it and i really want a Mariner 4hp 4 stroke to go with the 60hp 4 stroke i have.
So if any of you outboard tinkerers out there want to buy it i am selling it for £90, it is 17" from clamp cavitation plate and it comes with 1 litre of Quicksilver 2 stroke oil and a gallon of petrol, its a 1991 model, has the usual storage scratches but other than that it doesnt look like it has done much for its age, the part cost £12.00.......Have a look at the pics and see what you think, before it goes on EBAY.....
Broken linkage on the left, new on the right, the other bit is still on the engine.
