Casting lessons

Sorry for the repeat I posted this on the shore forum too:red:

Hi, I've been doing a bit of casting practice lately and I feel like Ive hit a bit of brick wall, I can hit 140m with 5oz over grass max and I'm getting 120m consistently with a uni-cast, but I just cant seem to get any further.

Ive tried a few full otg casts, but I just cant get the timing or trajectory right. I feel like I've gone as far as I can by myself and could do with a lesson or two, also it would be helpful to speak to someone about the rod I'm using, it's a 16ft abu hellbender with a shimano ultegra 5500, reel is great but I'm not loving the rod. So does anyone know of someone who can help me out, I'm happy to pay the going rate and travel.

Many Thanks

Rich

Hi, some of the NESA guys practice down kirkleatham showfield on summer thursday evenings.why not pop down ,i,m sure the chaps would help you out.

Rich, There is a Sea Angler Casting Instructor located in Darlington where you are. Not sure how many he has on the go at the moment, but he may be able to fit you in. Failing that, there are at least four Darlington anglers who go to Kirkleatham show field on a Thursday night for practice. You're most welcome to pop along and you will be surprised how quick your distance will pick up.

Email me if you want the instructor's details.

Hope this helps.

Ian.
