An Apology

I recently posted a link, leading to an article on another site, which appears to have offended one or more people to a certain extent.
This was certainly never my intention. I have been a member of this site for a long time now, Over Four years, and have made over 800 posts. Organised trips, sweatshirts, and supported competitions. although since I more or less gave up sea angling, My posts have declined in number.
The link I posted led to an article regarding a recent news item. In the WHOLE article, there were various interesting comments as regards religion and beliefs, which I myself did not think were offensive. It was pointed out to me by a moderator that he had removed one of them as it did not reflect the status of this site, I had no problem with this.
I hope those of you who actually know me, do not think I am racist.
I would not consider myself a bigot or racist. I have good friends who are Black, and Good friends who are muslim. I have no qualms in telling anyone I am a Freemason.( Most of you who know me, know this anyway) and therefore have sworn to embrace men of all religions.
Therefore I apologise to anyone who was even slightly offended by the post.

I have seen on this section jokes aimed at Irish, Scots, Amish, Aborigine, Native Americans, and homosexuals.
No Offence taken.

Paul.

Paul, I read every word of the post you left in the fluff chucking forum (I have to) and found it absolutely fascinating mate. I do however agree with Jim and believe it doesn't really have a place in a fishing forum. The joke itself was a bit ott but so have many jokes by other members been a bit ott. There will be some new T & C for NESA soon which will effect what people can and can't post, I think everyone will be a bit clearer then.

I have known you for ever (well just about lol) and know that you are not a racist. Thanks for the apology but I don't really think it was neccessary mate.

Jim.
