Tynemouth and north? Best baits atm are crab + lug from what i am hearing and seeing when im catching

rag + mackerel are coming back untouched but the moment crab hits the water all hell breaks loose.
If they can fish a beach try seaton sluice, ive had some cracking fish from there in the past fortnight. Fishing the morning, but the tides are right for the weekend to fish the flood as the suns going down, if they can its well worth a chuck

Fish 1 down 3 up

you useually get the fish just as it turns but ive had them on the hour down too
Amble Pier at night is producing some deacent coalies to lug and crab, with walkworth peir + beach at the day producing deacent flounder and plaice, with the odd supprise from the beach with a secret species of flatfish. Catch one and youll know

again fish taken on the flood.
Alnmouth (river estuary) is producing some very nice flounder and plaice up to 3lb, the mark is very easy to get to, only a 150m walk from where you park the car, grippers + rod rests are needed so i would take them. They are being taken on lug, mackerel, and best combo atm is lug + mussel. All fish taken on the flooding tide.
Seahouses (harbour): Lots of coalies as useual in the harbour walls, taken on lug, crab + mussel. From low water upwards.
Good Luck Davey
N.b. Hope this helps
