All you anglers might have noticed that there is a thread about a 100lb cod and I was thinking either that it had not been recorded or it was a fake due to europes largest cod weighing in at 94lb and 15oz. What do you think?

dunno mate it was probably never officially recorded for a record. In my opinion most records ya see have probably been beaten at some time but never officially recorded cos the angler concerned couldnt be bothered with the hassle or maybees unaware it was a possible record.Nothing makes a fish bigger than ALMOST being caughtComment

for as long as i can remember, there was a picture on the wall in mcalls wet fish shop in blyth, long gone, am sure it was 106lb cod , caught in a trawlers net of blyth,av seen it lately in 1 of the yesteryear threads.Comment
