    is there diferent size limits 4 diferent areas on the net whiting is 27 cm @shields open 30 cm does any 1 no were i can get sizes 4 roond ere

    27cm is the maff size for whiting, 30cm is the Northern Fed recommendation size for whiting. Some use one some use the other.

        Some club comps put their own size limits in that are above the minimum size limit, just make sure you read the rules first & you won\'t be embarrased at a weigh in

          i personally think a 30cm size limit should be used by every angling club where whiting are concerned.
          whiting are so easy to catch with there increasing numbers along the coast however a high percentage of these 27cm fish are so thin they arent even fit for eating and are usually just binned.
          i think a 30cm limit would make comps a little bit more challenging and cut down on the amount of fish discarded after comps etc.

          anyone else have the same opinion?

            Our club has a 30cm limit on whiting and a bag limit of 20 per angler. After you get your 20 you can try for a proper fish.lol
