ive used them live on a float before and had fish (i had ran outta bait on a holiday in S.W. Scotland)

When I was on holiday in cornwall I ran out of bait so i knocked a few off the rocks to try and I got my self a nice size wrass somewhere between 2lb and 3lb. Never really bothered with them since though.Comment

i have used limpets off the rocks before.
im a great believer in trying all kinds of baits, at the end of the day fish are scavengers.
a while back, i had 3 size cod 1 night, i was using the limpet with lug and mussel. seemed to do the trick.
I have also had fish nip them off the hook, float fishing for wrasse.Comment
