  • blyth beach sat night??

Alright lads, new to this sight. But ive been reading the reports etc for a while.
Anyways im looking to get out sat night as the tide is after dark, thinking of fishing blyth beach as the reports lately seem canny enough. whats you thoughts of where to fish on the beach - next to the pier or further towards sluice? any help would be appreciated! cheers

Forecast is pretty flat for saturday so I wouldn't expect big catches - Blyth's always best on the bigger tides when there's a good sea running. Mind you there are some good holes for high tide at the moment as well as the usual sandbars at low tide - if you are going to fish HW then I'd recommend anywhere from the back of the farm down to the middle toilets, or down by the Astley. For LW you want to be on one of the sandbars (again I'd recommend the middle toilets area at the moment) but they don't always get uncovered on the smaller tides, and if they do the tide-pull can be horrendous if there's a sea on - much better on the big tides. Still, plenty of coalies around and a few flounders too, so even if it's pretty flat there's still a chance of something.

If there's not much sea on or its flat calm meggies burn area can some times throw up the odd fish as there's normally a bit more tide in that area of the beach
