nowt startling,, 8 boats, 16 odd lads on them, a 3lb Pollock won the £80.00 sweep, far to
windy for us little boats, we were chucked all over, most of us fished around the Yellow can
and off the island, we all caught cod but most 2 - to 2 1/2 lbs, only 1
mackerel landed, I think we were all glad when it was time to weigh in,,, at 1pm, and as usual 1.30pm the wind dropped and the sun came out. my Mate Col landed 3 cod , I managed 5, all of them caught on prawns,,
I can hardly move at the moment, dreading plastering that bathroom tomorrow, just had a few pints of pain killer aka John Smiths, an early night on the books and probably a few pain killers for breakfast, paracetamol this time ,,,, my lower back is gooosed just with the rocking and rolling of the boat up and down side to side, for 4 hours, saw some great acrobatics from a small pod of dolphins just off W/Bay beach,, leaping out of the water and spinning, verrrry impressive
