Many of you may have seen the posters going up in tackle shops but just in case you haven't, here are the details for this year's Festival on the 20th September:

Plus prize table.
BTW, Juniors fish for free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Tickets will be available in local tackle shops for about 1 week before the event, up to Saturday 19th Sept.

Also, if you want to make a note in your diaries, this year's evening open will be on Saturday 5th December, fishing from 8pm - 1 am; further details will follow nearer the time.

Any questions, feel free to ask! :yltype:

Cheers, Gary :)

Please note: weigh-in & prize-giving at Whitley Bay Holiday Park (same as registration) - NOT WBAS clubhouse as stated above.

Hi mate, yes the weigh-in & presentation is all happening at the Whitley Bay Holiday Park (entrance just by turn off to St, Mary's) - just noticed there's a typo error in the above booklet, so thanks for asking! Will put up a correction right away.

Cheers, Gary :)

Just been chatting with the club Sec. & yes, we're going to bump our Evening Open into the new year - we've also used up our Penn Points quota for the year with the Summer League & Festival so in order to enable us to register it for points we'll have to move it to next year.

I'll post up the new date as soon as it's been confirmed.

Cheers, Gary :)

yes the chairman of the bedlington station club which hosts the event spoke to the organiser of the whitley open last week and he said it would be moved,no point running an open the night before an open it would only mean both clubs would have numbers down on the event,ps thanks for posting gary look forward to a good season fingers crossed.

I can also confirm (for all you hardcore match lads:D) that the Festival IS registered for Penn Points (Sea Angler forgot to list it:mad:).

Cheers, Gary :)
