Tope being caught in Luce Bay now

Pal of mine was out in the bay yesterday and had them to 40lb. Never heard of any shore caught ones yet. The mackerel are still patchy but have heard of smoothounds off the shore.

Never tried my hand for the wrasse/pollack/bass yet so cannot comment on them. Will have a go on our next trip over.

Good news on Logan Fish Pond,it has changed hands and a lovely couple run it now. It will be officially open Bank Holiday weekend. Done a photoshoot for their website so here are a couple of shots I took at the weekend. Will add them when photoshop stops taking a fit !!!!!

I remember when it was 10p to get in, and hand feeding the fish with limpets we kicked off the rocks befor going in. Some of the fish turn blind being exposed to the sun too long

I have caught wrasse/pollack/bass/flatfish from Logan pier but its always worth having a wander either north or south of it. When the two oldest grandsons stay with us in our Clashwhannon caravan I love to take them to different marks.
