codfather 145 ,mad rob and myself went to roker pier today 10.00 this morning
low tide but big swells coming in
fished just before the bunker , wind was beserk ,fished for about an hour then headed down towards the barrier hoping for a coddy
i caught 2 tiny colies on my light gear then the council fella came along as we expected and off we went
so we went to fish under the town bridge ,there was quite a few fishing keeping out of the wind
not alot of action to be honest
i got a flounder and a new species, a 3 bearded rockling

packed up 6.00 raining ,cold and no fish suppers
bait used fresh lug,bluey,baby squid,crab and salted lug plus
.........5 week old stinky ,stinky squid absolutly rotton
also tried a 2 hook flapper set up with 2 white isome worms from moonfleet angling ,blanked on them but will try them again
reports of a 9lb cod caught off seaham pier in the comp on his first cast before it was closed
