Time wasters why do they do it??

Does anybody else get riled by timewasters???
i advertised a afaw mk 1 lure rod on monday in the for sale section.
A member replied pretty swiftly saying he would definitely take the rod and would i be as kind as to keep it till wednesday, i said no problem and put on the thread rod sold. I gave the guy my number and asked him to call/text before collection.
Wednesday came and after i waited in and it started getting late i sent a message on nesa asking when he was coming, he said he had text me twice, i told him he hadnt and he agreed that he had typed the number wrong, that he was very sorry as he was now at work could he collect thursday at 3 oclock after he had been fishing.
So waited in from 3 yesterday still no show!! sent him numerous messages on here and he has been on and off the site loads yesterday and today but refuses to reply to my request that he let me know either way if he wants it still.
Its not the fact he didnt buy the rod its just the time i have spent waiting in for him not to show up and the fact it would take a few seconds to send a quick pm saying he had changed his mind and wasnt coming.
Is it much to ask for a bit common courtesy from fellow members and fisherman???

Dean mate I think the best way is unless you've dealt with the person before say sorry first come first served if it's still there on the particular day they want it all well and good they can come and get it.

Your exactly right mate, if i ever sell anything on the fishermans locker thats the procedure i always follow as i have spent hours and hours waiting for people not to show. Thought things where a little different on here.
Lesson learned though, shame as it spoils it for genuine people that want you to hold things for them till they get the money together

And if you are going to put a bitchy comment about a member have the bottle to name him, firstly I asked you to collect the rod Wednesday as I was free nothing to do with getting the money together no time promised, I have been on and off as my phone is playing up, I have just read your your snotty pm with threatening to put my name up as a time waster, I agreed after I went fishing but I got called back home, and couldn't get back on long enough to send you a pm. However if you wish to take this route it's no skin of my nose.

It doesnt matter which way you say it, its still the same thing
You didnt turn up on wednesday to collect the rod after you asked me to keep it for you, you then didnt turn up again on thursday at 3 oclock

You then where on and off nesa over half a dozen times yesterday afternoon all the way up till after 9 oclock last night and you didnt have the time or decency to write a quick message saying sorry mate not coming AGAIN dont bother waiting in for me.
Yet the funny thing you found time to find a thread about it and responded to it within 45 minutes of it being posted.

And do you really think I want to buy a rod or apologise to you when you have not given me anytime to explain what had happened?? I have bought and sold lots of gear on here without any problems. I am a very genuine person on general but especially when it comes to buying or selling gear.

When someone says its a school night it usually refers to them being at work the next day does it not? if you where at work you would of said "cant drink tonight i am working"
Your obviously techy enough to be able to conduct conversations with people on nesa whilst your "working"
