it was a simple question, just not sure how you formed your opinion about fans relating to players, atmosphere , passion etc when you're not interested in the sport , been to many games lately?

Last game I went to was probably in the early 80's. You don't have to be supporter to have an opinion. Why don't you tell me what drives you and generations of your family to go to football, as that was what I was asking? The only opinion you seem to have so far, is that I am not entitled to have one!

I fail to understand how people can still get so passionate about football clubs these days when most players are just mercenaries, with no connection or love for the football club, but there purely for the money? Players kissing the badge on their shirt when they score, while off the field their agent is planning the players next move to another club offering even more offensive sums of cash and the true supporter struggles to afford the ticket price every week.

The obscene levels of cash being poured into the game by Sky and BT will destroy the heritage of clubs and in the long term, change football for the worse and perhaps kill it forever.

No offence was intended, everyone is entitled to an opinion kayos, as you are to your's, i just noticed that you pretty much had a (generic) opinion on pretty much every thread posted, and i was interested on how you formed your opinion on the premier league and sky when you subscribe to / support or follow neither?

I didn't realize you were asking anything:confused: just looked like you were making a thread for the sake of typing to be honest.

i go to the games as my son loves it, so i put him first, when you have kids that's what you do. It's more of a chore for me nowadays to be fair, as far as im concerned mike ashley has sucked the life out of the club, it's all about the business / commercial / advertising side as far as the owner is concerned, no ambition football wise, we're a mid table at best team

I supported nufc well before ashley took over, and ill still be supporting them after he's gone, though good times and bad, it's in the DNA.

Nothing stays the same for very long
 
I think football will eventually change as young people play it less and less, unless you count playing on XBox and traditional supporters are in decline. I still don't understand how the rights can be worth 5 billion and nobody I have talked to in my circle of friends, some avid football fans, know either.


I think the amount of money is obscene and will do even greater damage to an already tawdry reputation. With FIFA and Blatter being in charge, world cups going to Russia and Qatar, people are being turned off by the corruption and the more money gets pumped, the more corrupt it will become.

Eventually there may be a split and like darts, boxing etc there will be different "World governing bodies."

Oops, I didn't realise Lynn had not signed out, so this looks like it's from her, but it's not, she know less about football than me!!
