A quick run out on Friday night after I had called off the mornings session due to the fog.
In hindsight I shouldn’t have bothered but after getting back from work I was ultra keen to go.
Out the South East of Coquet Island in the lingering fog and straight into a snotty confused swell.
Plans changed and with the water being manky we ploughed out to the Lafonia.
Seven drifts produced a Scotchy, one cod and a few dropped fish so back in it was after having a go.
Not much fishing in this week with the kids being off but fingers crossed for next week.

I like my new berth as the marina moved me, a lot more space.

Nice to finally meet you last weekend Graham, and your new boat looks a smasher.

Reading some of the charterboat reports, it does sound like there's fish out there, but "out there" might be many miles off - saw one that said they had 3 mackerel - but 18 miles offshore!

Anyway, happy to hear you didn't blank. We'll probably give it another go on Sunday (watching the Falcons on Saturday), so perhaps see you around.
