Excuse my ignorance but where is this place? How far? I've never caught a dogfish and it is one of the species I'm hoping to target some weekend in the summer. Are they rare down/up there or do you catch a lot of them?

it a couple of hours drive from the north east go up the A69 then on to the A75 and it is signposted.
Some of the marks are difficult to find but it must be one of the best summer marks in the country

There are good marks in a few different places there, but behind the caravan park is as good as any. Travel light and wear strong boots if fishing there tho'

Best recipe for dogfish is add a dogfish and a house brick to a big pan of water. Boil, and then simmer for 30 minutes. Take out the dogfish and the brick, throw away the doggie and eat the brick
