Fished 11am till 4pm flatty heaven beach is lifting with them.

I took the twins to Warkworth beach today as we had been told it was lifting with flatties on Friday.......no luck.....the fish obviously fancied a day out to Embleton beach lol!

lol wish Sod would b@gger off he spends far to much time with me! It was a nice day out though better than being stuck inside or being stuck at work like Ray who kept wondering what he was missing - why is it that people ring right when you are trying to "coax" ragworm on a hook or trying to struggle through sand dunes back to the car while carrying enough fishing tackle for 3 people??? I am afraid the telephone manner was of the "what" and "what now, no we didnt catch anything" variety lol!

Wherabouts is the best pace to fish on embleton beach state of tide, sea conditions etc. I have fished with the bairn once last summer but got nothing - looks a great spot. Is it best in summer?

Seems to fish better two hours down and two hours up. Look for the holes there are a few of them fishes better if the sea is flat.
use flowing traces and twitch the bait every now and the to induce a take.

Will give it a go next week. Caught my 1st bass there a couple of years ago so got a soft spot for it.

Thanks for the tip nigels re the tide and sussing out where the holes are. What is the best time of the year to fish the beach.
