Fished Dunstanburgh Castle Sunday morning with a few mates. There was very little sea movement and bites were hard to come by.
Bait used was various combinations of squid, crab, mussle, lug and rag.
I managed to catch a 2lb cod and a 1.5lb ling (my first shore caught).
I think the 2lb cod balanced out the tackle lost from my box on the long walk off. Good day enjoyed the craic with the lads fishing and adding a new species to the all too short caught list always great.
