had a trip up to oban with my boy liam and my mate jason yesterday,


short version:-


Liam (aged 13).....159lb skate  35 minutes to get in in 500+ feet




Jason (aged 33)....178lb skate  60 minutes to land


to be fair to jason, it was the hardest fighting skate i have ever seen


Me.....blank!!!

alan, no i got the info from this site, no mails from you, what is your address?


if it is published could you send me a copy of the paper for liam as we don't get it up here.


norman, we don't get them here either.... i have to drive west for 2.5 hours to get them or rather find them for everyone else.....lol

What a plonker i am, heres me thinking original post about Liams skate was from Les Forest and not Les McBride up in Edinburgh, no wonder when i e mailed for more info Les F got the e mails i suspect and not Les M. No wonder i did not get an answer. Pity Les F did not reply then i would have sussed it. Thats if Les F got my e mails as i have been having loads of bother with Blueyonder.

Pity e mails and messages dont come with accents.

Alan m8, when was the last time you saw a 100lb + common skate caught off Shields pier on light spinning tackle. If the first name had been Rich or Ling(X) then maybe it could have been true.
