posted on 28/10/2004 at 22:24Had a few chuck's off Blyth West Pier, fished 1pm untill 5pm.. The sea looked great ,wind from the S.E massive rollers comming across the OLD wooden pier, you could feel them hitting it,,some of the waves were just under the boards they were that high,, had the usual bait, lug, maccy & rag,,, (big booboo there) caught 1 coalie & 1 whittey, was watching this bloke just after the bend ,casting into the river,, he was chucking it about 20/30 yds short of the little lighthouse in the middle of the river, almost a fish a cast.. We saw him pull in about a doz all canny size, his bait???? peeler, the tw&t, still he did'nt catch a lobster, Coza did, We/ He took it to our local boozer , the Kittiwake & Dave the chef said he would cook it for us,, what a meal he produced for us. It was spot on all the trimmings, Ill tell you what he's a great cook this lobster was spot on, mind you, it did have 2 claws on when we sent it to be cooked and it did'nt have any when it came back..only funning, it was spot on, so we have loads of bait left so we are off to the same place tommorrow (Frid) hopefully with a few peelers & that bloke wont be there... & the fish& lobsters will be
