Fished the beach at first light and moved onto the pier as the beach was flooding heavily
Beach
3 x Cod @ 2,3 and 4 1/2lb
Pier
3 x Cod @ approx 3lb
Sea was heavy to say the least but safe, beach was fishable from Meggies Burn to Pier, seemed to be holding bottom ok but had to move as we were getting swamped with the flood.
my mate had a similar bag,he also had a 6 3/4lb off Blyth Pier after I left, not sure what time as he texted me this afternoon
Bait lug,razor and mussel cocktails

Well done and thanks for the info. Ray and I had a look down at Peeping Tom's Rocks tonight between 6 and 7. It was ok but not safe enough to take the kids if it is like that on Sunday night.

Yes we were tying to get a feel for what it might be like on Sunday night. It would have been fine down there for us but having the kids limits the options lol! Looks like the pier lol!

You haven't heard the twins singing lol! A warning to anybody considering going on the pier on sunday night - the twins can talk the hind legs off a donkey so if you like peace and quiet when you are fishing please go somewhere else lol! Bobby's user name on here should be Bob the Gob lol!
