Hi everybody,
I finally made my mind up and bought myself an early christmas present, greys apollo 14' from id fishing. Got some lugworm and couldn't wait to get fishing. I went to Gloucester Lodge and fished to the right of the pipe for a couple of hours, lots of small bites but no fish, not much sea on. Decided to walk 200 yds south of the pipe and passed two lads who had caught a whiting and a small flattie.
Changed to smaller hooks two size 1 hooks (all I had, badly organised) hoping to get some whiting. At 9.45 pm struck into a slightly better pull and couldn't believe I had caught a nice 3lb codling.
