Hi guys
I'm relatively new to sea fishing - have done a lot of coarse fishing when I was a teenager. The idea of lobbing 6 oz weights and 2/0 hooks still seems foreign to me!
I'm after somewhere for a few hours sport tomorrow. It's going to be low tide (aim to be there about 9-10ish) and was thinking glass centre or rrathouse might be worth a chuck. But unsure whether there'll be enough water at that time. Please excuse my ignorance of the area - I'm not from round here but travel up to durham most weekends to visit my girlfriend. My past two sessions have been on South Shields pier with ragworm and have caught a few coley and codling.
I've got a pretty cheap set up. No rod rest (ideally need some railings) and not used to casting huge distances with this new set up. I've made a few 2 hook flappers with with 2/0 hooks.
Anyone got any ideas of where I could go? What kinds of baits etc? I'd also be grateful if someone could point me towards a good tackle shop that will be open tomorrow.
Cheers guys!
