Somewhere for a beginner tomorrow morning

Hi guys

I'm relatively new to sea fishing - have done a lot of coarse fishing when I was a teenager. The idea of lobbing 6 oz weights and 2/0 hooks still seems foreign to me!

I'm after somewhere for a few hours sport tomorrow. It's going to be low tide (aim to be there about 9-10ish) and was thinking glass centre or rrathouse might be worth a chuck. But unsure whether there'll be enough water at that time. Please excuse my ignorance of the area - I'm not from round here but travel up to durham most weekends to visit my girlfriend. My past two sessions have been on South Shields pier with ragworm and have caught a few coley and codling.

I've got a pretty cheap set up. No rod rest (ideally need some railings) and not used to casting huge distances with this new set up. I've made a few 2 hook flappers with with 2/0 hooks.

Anyone got any ideas of where I could go? What kinds of baits etc? I'd also be grateful if someone could point me towards a good tackle shop that will be open tomorrow.

Cheers guys!

ratty or glass centre will be ok m8 with rutherfords just round the corner on roker avenue might be hard to get fresh bait with the open comp on if you want i have a ali adjustable rod rest here for free if u want to pick it up at penshaw makki n lug if you can get some

You could try the river tyne m8. I was there last week nd I got 3 codling nd 1 flatty. About 3 weeks ago I caught 2 whiting. Areet size says a few on here. Should try there. Might be worth it This is the biggest I got

im on the pier from 5am till 12:30 if want to come and say hi.
ill be in normal spot the bunker to left of stairs to round head. I have some lug and maki if have no bait your welcome to some.

Fished the walkway 11-3 today. Caught 9 fish in total - coalfish and codling up to 8inches and a pretty decent dab. Would have liked to have caught some larger fish but was glad to be out catching.

Used mackerel strip and rag as bait.

Cheers for the recommendations
