Was heading over to Auchenarie at 7 Sunday morning but after some great advice from Stan Parkins and other members I changed the plans and headed down to Dimmo beach Hull with mad rob. Outcast Chris and young Jordan Bowmaker
Picked the boys up and off we headed after 2 1/2 hrs got there to sun and a lovely beach
As getting stuff out of car and walking along cliff top notice a hound getting caught , we were buzzing as none of us had ever caught 1
Set 2 rods up each and unbelievable my 1st cast and only christened my new set up cheers jarradisco
My rod was going mental I was buzzing reeling in my 1st hound and a good scrap it game me line shooting around , a nice 3 1/2lber
What a start then within minutes robs rod goes another nice fish
We were like kids high 5s and hugging each other ( ps I'm married and not gay lol )
Bang young Jordan's rods off we were over the moon for him
It went quiet for an hour and we thought and hoped Chris would get 1 as he blanked twice before down here
Then the time came for him to get 1 on his continental set up with fixed spool a beauty of 3lb7ozs
Following the tide down to low was a waste of 6hrs as we wasted time we noticed these in the sea any ideas boys
I got 1 more and rob hora small turbot and flounder
As the tide pushed back in rob pulled out a lovely and best of the day 6lb 2oz beauty shooting along the beach
Chris pulled out another about 5lb but camera died another beauty
Called it a day when the weed stuff was causing us hassle at about 9 at night for the drive home burnt, buzzing and tired all the way home all we heard was ......
We've only caught Sharks 2 hrs away from the ratty lol
Got back in house about midnight absolutely shattered but buzzing at the same time
