I often have a trip skate fishing each year and plan to do the same this year....i know a few have asked me in the past about wishing to go if i book anymore.
I have requested dates for Late Oct and early Nov for 2 days skate fishing.
It is not for everyone, you may not catch one and its not cheap....so why do we do it...because when you first hit the fish and it hits back and when you first see it hit the surface it makes you glad you have experiance it.
I am hoping for a weekend trip 2 days, rods and reels can be hired on the day, BnB would be booked, a canny night out in the local village, good skippers and a full weekend all in would be around £260 each based on 3 sharing.
Boat £440 (split 3 ways for 2 days)
BnB £50 (for 2 nights)
Rod hire £10ea
Fuel £25ea
meal and night out £35ea
First come first served...no dates yet but planning on a weekend with traveling up on the Friday evening and traveling home on the Sunday night after the second days skate trip.
You also have the chance to land the rare black mouth dogfish, thornbacks, spurrs and congor.
