Couple of pics from the cliffs today half tide down. Getting bigger too!

Roker is massive too and like you say getting bigger by the hour.

cant believe the pier stopped open the waves were coming right over and people were still fishing there, just hope no one gets swept of, seen loads of people get hit by them.

Which pier? It looked a bit naughty on Shields and that was half tide down. I would be surprised if its Roker that was open, a fish farts 10 mile offshore and waves off it cause Roker to shut!
That said you cant be too cautious with the sea...

Heres hoping mate, gonna be tough finding somewhere thats not too big, most of the ones along the front will be out, it was just getting bigger and bigger as I walked along.

Roker is open and four or five on the end and on barrier. Cracking sea on.

Got to chuck something out then, catch reports very quiet despite the seas we have had the past few days

pier looked very unsafe at 2pm today onwards seen loads caught by the waves coming over boxes getting washed across and looked to be getting worse at bunker area with it coming over every 6 wave hits. i must have seen the same 3-4 people fishing hit by them while i was walking the dog.
