decided on an all nighter after i finnished work last night. arrived on seaham pier at 1-45am. bites from the off, used 2 rods with 3 hook flappers baited with macky strip, a steady flow of whitings all size but not big (non over a pound) the bites slowed down after a couple of hours so started baitng one hook on each rod with crab (only had 4 live crab left so baited sparingly) as soon as the crab baits went out the flounders started biting again nothing big but all size. the bites started to become less frequent as the night went by, was going to pack up at 6am but decided to give the shrimper lures a bash at first light, nothing til the sun rose then the macky arrived not in massive numbers but enough to make it worth while.
so in the course of the night got arround 40 whitings, 6 flounders, 1 pouting, 16 macky, 4 launce and a few weevers, nothing big but non stop action in the unseasonally hot weather (when i arrived at 1-45am the temp was 20c) fished most of the night in just a t shirt. normally on a cloud free night this time of year the temp plummets why its so high despite this i'm not sure so just going to enjoy it.
