Took a trip down seaham hall beach with the father last night we set off at around 8PM and went at the southern end of the beach right where the first set of steps are at and were in the water by 8:30PM, session started off slow with the first 3/4 casts coming back with the hooks stripped clean from the pesky crabs.
As the tide came closer and closer we moved up and onto the promenade once up onto the prom with lines in the water the fish started to bite with my father landing the first whiting of the night which came in at 8.5 ounces but unfortunately it was deep hooked in a strange way it was impossible to get the hook out and return safely. After that around 4 more whiting started to appear but way smaller and thinner than the first one. As the appeared so did the rain and with not much bait left we decided to pack in and go home rather than stay and get wet.
Sorry there are no pictures as I left my phone at home, will take it next time
