don't know if anyone has allready posted anything about this , if not, there is an advert in this months sea angler and it must be a wind up or someone wants a mobile number to ring non stop, the advert lists various tackle for sale - Zziplex HSM £50- ZziplexM4 evo-£30-Greys apollo £25- Century E100 -£55 -2 penn 525- £10 each - diawa saltist 3D- £20 , many accessories and other rods and it says it's a south shields number, i won't give the number as i think it's bogus or like i said the phone will have melted by now.:D

aye its a wind up its my number i have had over 250 calls lost count of the texts, been on to sea angler 2 days after it was out to see if they could give me any information to try and follow up on who posted the advert and all they would say they do not check unbeleviable, out of this world offers and my opinion silly adverts such as this and take them all in good faith and said its a misprint. but it looks like some arshole has tried to wind me up but all they have succseeded in doing is wasting (approx) over 350 anglers time ringing and texting me when other wise they could have been out fishing so to the PILLOCK who done this and tried to wind me up YOU FAILED MISEREBABLY
as in doing this one of the people who rang me turned out to be a young cousin of mine who i lost contact and now in touch so thanks for that.;):D:D:p

Well you got somthing good out of a silly prank. You would think that some people would have better things to do with there time.
 
i wasn't bashing sea angler for printing the advert , it was just an observation. the magazine is ok as far as i'm concerned, it is a bit padded out with bass fishing lately though ( bash bash):rolleyes:

your welcome mate, but at 3 in the morn you'll have no chance cos a'll be snug as a bug in a rug tucked up in bed and me phone will be down stairs :)
 
The problem is Bob, some people actually thought it was a good joke, I don,t and I pointed out to these people that if it happened to them they would,nt see the funny side of it.........................would they.
 
i don't think that it's right that a media mag like sea angler should publish a persons private telephone number without their consent, whatever their excuses they should have rang your number back and verified that it was you who put the ad in, can you imagine the hassle you would have if it was the sun newspaper that had printed it, there again you would have had a full published apology and maybe a bit of compo .

i asked them that as all the gear was going unbeleviabley so cheap and they said they could not do that as it would cost them time and money and took all adverts off the anglers in good faith which to their credit is a fair point,

like a say it did not bother me as the way i look at it it was all the callers who were put out after finding it was a practical joke, most of them were vry sympathetic and used a few choice names for whoever did it, funniest one i thought was from a cockney lass called them a f***ing imbecile and then not content with that came out with a barrage of abuse. then there was a caller who tried to put on scots accent and claimed the prices were to high. also had a few canny conversations with some of the callers
who reckoned it was a wind up but sill thought it was worth a phone call
 
i was going to ring up but thought something was up with the prices lol and didnt want any one to laff at me for thinking they would sell there rods that cheap. so i didnt even bother ringing
