Rough out today

I decided yesterday that i would give it a go today so i headed out at 11.30 went to the ground off alnmouth dropped anchor and waited for the bites to come and they did in just under 4hrs i gad 9 fish to the boat 1 dogfish 2 pouting and 6 codling i kept 3 codling roughly 3lb each and speaking of rough it got really quite bad so headed back in about 2.15pm

What a good decision to go out! And well done on getting a good bag of fish in a short time. I've never had a dogfish in the NE. They can be a curse in the South, but a novelty up here.

I'm not medically fit enough to take the boat out yet, but spent yesterday mooching about Royal Quays and North Shields. Two boats went out that afternoon, a big Beneteau cruiser and an Arvor 25, neither of which seemed to be rigged for angling.
