I've just started to try my hand at repairing my own rods and got to say its getting addictive:) I have managed to source some clear cups for mixing the hi build in from the poundshop but am struggling to find a supply of brushes. Can anyone please help with brush suppliers or local flexcoat stockists?? Any help much appreciated

hi be very careful with the cups you have got as a lot of plastics contain silcons rod builders worst night mare try guides and blanks for your consumables or rod rings and things i personally use sable brushes which i then clean after use with acetone or thinners welcome to the rod building

there is also a company called fordham and wakefield but your 1st order has to be over a £100 and you have to ring them for a catalogue they sell a lot of flexcoat

The cups I got were plastic shot glasses(40 for a pound) and although ive only used two so far they dont seem to have caused any problems. I,ve seen packs of cheap brushes on sites in America but dont really want to wait that long to get some. I'll try the sites out, like you say a good clean with thinners prob better than using cheapos and throwing them away each time. Thanks for your help
