12 Anglers fished boundaries between River Blyth and Tynemouth Pier 6pm - 10pm over low water. About half fished Blyth Pier whilst the remaining rods took to the beaches. Biggest bag came from the pier end for Dave Nevin who bagged up with several good sized Dabs ( no, they were not Flounder before the doubting Thomas's make comments) which were really well conditioned and fat. biggest fish went to Barry Smith with a 44cm codling from the beach. Match fished as catch and release using the SAMF score chart with everything over 18cm scoring points.

Really enjoyed the comp. We had enough of crabs on the pier on past comps so decided beach and proved to be a good move. Lovely surf. Kept alternating big pennel rigs and three hook flappers-was amazed no real big Cod were caught, still I had one for 42cm so cannot complain. You right about the Dabs Ian J got one first cast-big and plump fish.
