in terms of like for like against my CT non level wind eqivilents then it does run a tiny bit slower, and as a result casts 10 to 30 yards less depending on the power or conditions.  But - this ever so slightly slower running makes it makes it fool proof, very smooth and ideal for windy days and night fishing or for short casts or when casting of slippey rock ends when you can get a bit wonky due to not having a good foot hole.
