This is the first wave to be announced, we have 3 but the Aln Estuary (Lesbury to Alnmouth) is the only coastal MCZ announced. Out of the 127 sites put forward only 27 have been announced today. No Couquet to St Marys yet!

This is the detail on the Aln as we decided in the Net Gain process " set to maintain" so I would invisage no further management required unless Tony as you ask what are the implications to anglers, none I hope unless we get further incidents from anglers as we have had in the last 2 years, in other words it is up to us to keep the estuary litter free and not throw dead fish back into what is now an MCZ? Let's not give them the ammunition.
