Today was the beehives breakaways competition. Leaving SSBAC at 8am and being back for no later than 1pm not even a minuite late. Which unfortunately was the case for two boats who ended up being disqualified.

We had 6 on board so knew it would be tough to compete for the boat average catch!

The total catch was around 120lb for the boat. This was made up of around 35 cod, 1 pollock and 2 ling just over the size limit.

We claimed the heaviest fish prize thanks to John a fat cod of 9lb 8oz.

The skipper managed to secure heaviest individual catch 51lb odd.

I think we may have secured the boat average also, no confirmation though.

No pics today was to busy carrying the crew

Great to be part of the winning boat again, although my contribution was a mere 9lb just glad that Whiting I tried to throw in the box which ended up back in the water wasn't a contributing factor to the result. Thanks again to the crew of Macer G for having such an amateur on board! But hey I'm learning all the time off the pro's :-) As always, much appreciated :) Look forward to the Winter Breakaways in October!
