Had a shot up at lynemouth last night "been a few wks since been out so was itching to chuck a line out .hit the beach about 6.30pm "there was a few rods out so found me spot set me gear up and settled me self down with a nice hot cup of coffee wind was sw and blowing hard"had boulders on the rod stand and rod low to keep every thing tight "sea was flat with a couple of rollers so it was fingers crossed and lets see what happens .had nothing for about 3 hrs then a hour before bottom got slack liner so grabbed me rod reeled in like crazy and nowt" after that it went dead then hour into the flood another slack liner this time a bit of weight and a nice plump 3lb codling so not the best nights fishing due to conditions but was great to be out

Nice one mate. I've only ever fished Lynemouth on the flood / over the top of the tide so I've learned something from your reports

Must admit stewart I do think the flood is the most productive "you seem to get the better fish especially if theirs a bit of sea on
