Well, decided I'd finish 2013 with a PB session at Craster whilst doing a dry run for the open on sunday 5th. Got cast in for 0630 and the wind was just about manageable, daylight came and it lifted no end until it was basically un-fishable (for me anyway). I honestly think I spent about as much time tying leaders and picking up my rod stand as I did actually fishing.

Gave it up as a bad job about 0900 and drove back down A1 to St Mary's, got cast in about 1030 at North of Island, good brown sea running and loads of shelter. Didn't get the last minute sea pig I was hoping for though, but did have a heated argument with a grey seal and went home in a huff after an hour.

High hopes for next year though...

Had the same plan. Got to Foxton just south of Crasrer at about 9:00 in the morning and it was a howling southerly right into your face. Unfishable.

Dropped down to Amble and fished Pan Point for the first time. 2 small tommies and 1 small flattie but nothing size . Also lost about £30 of line and end tackle when my box blew over!

Am thinking of surrendering!
