couple of the lads and i planned a trip down to the east coast for a spot of hound fishing arrived there for bottom of the tide greeted by atleast another dozen keen anglers on the beach and the fishing shelters ready for the night shift
as the tide started to flood stu one the lads took a schooly bass a while later he didnt manage to get a pic either , i was still ready to pounce hoping for me first lincs fish ,a while later codaholic (henry) took a flounder at a 1lb
then my turn one just size things was looking rather slow as the night went on till we hears the shouting of henry it was a bass of around 2.5lb
not long after another cracking bass our guess around 4lb
then again crys of joy along the beach a cracking common smoothound from henry estimate your guess as good as mine
that was it jealousy kicked in thinking i aint going home with out one and moves further up the beach which as the tide was so near to top and a deeper filled gully ,first hoy into there did it a nice starry smoothound what a relief first one for me after a previous session there 2 years back with a blank
henry also took a starry shortly after and followed by a flounder about 1.5lb
tide had dropped making the area more shallower so we called it a day and headed for home knowing that henry was the star of the show and tought us youngins how it was done
