Leeda Icon M-Sport Ultra Power - info please?

Hi lads.

Just wanting some info. I've had centurys, greys and zziplex's over the years, but now with having got fully back into fishing (never ever selling up again lol!) , I'm wanting to get myself a new rod, having borrowed my friend phil.c's Sonik Sk4 from him kindly for the past few months.

I've been interested in a leeda icon for a while, especially with how stuff they are, as I really do love a fast action rod, suits me down to the ground and can be used everywhere for my requirements, whether it be rocks, pier, river, beach, etc. Recently I've been doing a lot of looking online at the new Leeda Icon M-Sport Ultra Power, I must admit it's a really eye catching piece of kit, and the reviews it's gotten for the price it is are just fantastic. Having said that I'm yet to see one in person.

So I'm asking for any lads out there that have this particular rod, what do yous think of it? I know one friend of mine has one but haven't heard much in the way of info about it, so any info from first hand users wood be much appreciated.

alright mate I have the ultra power and can't fault it highly recommend u get the power then u can use it on clean mixed and rough ground and it'll handle it all good casting and brill bite detection

Only thing with the original is the captive reducer makes it a tad heavy, I just removed mine and put a butt cap on

Doing good mate, out and about, busy working to earn them pennies for bait and the fishing gear I need, as well as me love life haha . All in all doing great, just need to get back into me club matches more and get out more.

I am waiting on delivery of one of the icon powers, an original one with the captive reducer. old model but brand spanking new, cos 100 notes including the postage.

They seem to get universal rave reviews especially on the WSF forum so looking forward to giving it a chuck!

well my original icon power arrived today and must say i am very impressed with its appearance and finish, looks like far more than the £80 plus postage i paid for it.

Will give it a try on Sunday then it will be rested until our week in norway coming up where hopefully it will get a good test.
