I was suprised how many little codling were around when i was out at the weekend, blyth harbour was teaming with the little beggars.... hopefully that\'s a good sign of things turning around a bit...

Yes noticed them myself,just lets hope they get to a decent size and no gobbling trawler nets pick them up

Whats everyones views then on having a 5 year closed period for all white fish?

Mine would be YES something needs to be done and things cant go on as they are.On the down side it will see alot of people out of work and will the rest of Europe respect our waters..i think not.

Anyway what you lot thing?

Definitely! Idon\'t think it should apply to shore anglers tho, but all commercials and pleasure craft should serve a ban. There are too many people going after too few fish!
