not a cricket or follower by any means, but if K is one f the best batsmen in the country then he should be in the England eam, you can't just pick your mates and their mates or those who like each other, probably why the crickeet team is getting nowhere. Played andoached rugby for many years, you might not like all the players on the team but once on the pitch you play to win, and when coaching a colts team I didn'pick players because they where well liked they where picked because they where the best player, think the cricket team wants a kick up the arse and told to stop being so bloody childish.

Absolutely pathetic Alan, how can they run a professional sport in that manner, they are a laughing stock! KP is box office, as well as a special talent, who cares if he is an egomaniac, get him in the team. 355 runs for Surrey yesterday and that is not enough!

Oh and they tell him he will never play for England again due to "trust issues" and in the next breath Strauss offers him and advisory role with the 1 day team.

Completely delusional!!

haway kayos, one minute yer jumpin up and doon and bangin on about scotish independence and the next minute yer a member of the mcc:D

Anyways, even if kp is an awkward guy to manage he couldn't really make the team worse could he so let him back in I say

Gordon it may surprise you to learn that more people play cricket in Scotland (per head of population) than in England. We might be crap, but we love it. I played cricket for over 30 years, until my back wouldn't take it anymore. Top score 43, most wickets in a game 3. Ha!!!

how did yer hurt yer back like kayos, wasn't stumbling backwards ower the stumps after a few drams by any chance was it?:D

Look, I didn't want yer life story, all I'm saying is kp should be playing for England as at the minute there's no talisman.

PS. not a bad score 43 plus 3 wickets

He's simply not a team player...nothing worse than trying to get a job done with one cog in the wheel turning the wrong way.

It's been a circus and badly managed but he is rightly no longer part of the bigger picture

Mind you I'm not convinced Strauss is up to much either

He may be an arrogant ass, but don't forget it was his "team mates" who ran a parody account KPgenious taking the rip right out of him, while he was still in the team. Did these guys, get the heave ho? No they are still in the team, so I don't agree with your assessment about team players. He was told clearly by the incoming chairman of the EECB that if he found a county and scored runs he would be considered. He gave up a £250,000 IPL contract to do just that, a triple hundred, an innings that no other current England player could play yet he is told he is out and Colin Graves has gone back on his public declarations. I hope he sues the lot of them.

down to weak leadership allowing him to do it, strong leader would of kicked his ass,
wouldn't stand for that in the colts (15-19 year olds)team I coachd, plenty of attitude there when they first started off especially when you could only pick 15 out of 23, with a strong captain and coach they pulled together to win as a team, with individual brilliance shinning through, the same with all teams.
