You might be right that they had small damages before by negligent care or bad storage.


However...the build quality is very poor and the rings/guards break too easy. I also do not like to see corrosion on 6 months old sea-boat rods.


The action does not match the label, we have the stronger variant and struggle with sinkers over 8 oz because the tip is far too floppy and thin.


However, if one catches a fish, the solid carbon does the job beautifully.


Two rods snapped the tip of after totally routine use and we put new tip guards on it. Those "shortened" ones have a very nice action.


Overall, considering all those problems, the fragility and the high price, I personally cannot recommend this rod to KAYOS
