Just been down to Hartlepool - nigh on low water. The sea is massive. Coming right over the round end of steetley - no way you would hold the bottom down the sides - two people fishing on the end.
You could hardly see the Heugh - waves constantly coming right over all the way down to the end of the wall on the top level.
Middleton the waves were bouncing right over the end - four brave/daft souls fishing on the end - dont think they will last till high tide.
Pilot pier waves coming over now and again on the Heugh side.
Should be good fishing when it dies down.

me and my 2 pals fished steetley from 4 til 9.30 last night.used rag lug squid mackerel mussel not a bite.saw only 2 codling caught all night waste of time.if cant catch fish after the sea we just had never will.thinking bwt putting shore gear away now and wait eagerly for boat season to start.
